Playing with some new toys
I think I might have finally found a really good combination of things to use to photograph climbers in the mad Australian sun! Decided to drag a whole bunch of photography gear (see below) on top of my crash pad and climbing gear up the mountain today. I usually just use the Fuji X100T with a battery powered speedlight. Was kind of regretting the whole idea when I was halfway there as all this crap weighed a ton! When I started shooting however, all the doubt while slogging up the mountain was forgotten. Balancing the flash with the ambient light was almost too easy! This really opens up a whole new realm of possibilities!
Nikkor 24mm f/1.8G
K&F concept glass ND filters which are similar to the Cokin filter system (Got these things on ebay are awesome AND cheap! No noticeable colour cast which was crazy considering I got the whole set with filter holder for about $30!)
Godox RS-600p (Also got this on ebay with a 15% discount code)
